La Médecine Périopératoire et l'anesthésie

La Médecine Périopératoire comprend l'anesthésie, le traitement de la douleur aiguë, le travail obstétrical, les soins intensifs chirurgicaux, la réanimation cardio-respiratoire, la médecine d'urgence et la prise en charge de traumatisés.

La Médecine Factuelle est le processus qui consiste à systématiquement rechercher des études modernes, les évaluer et utiliser leurs conclusions pour établir des bases de décisions cliniques.

Ainsi la Médecine Factuelle Périopératoire traite de l'élaboration de décisions rationnelles en Médecine Périopératoire: Qu'est qui doit être recommandé aux patients? Quelles interventions doivent être menées? Quelles sont les priorités de recherche?

Nos activités principales:

Nous produisons des données: Nous réalisons des revues systématiques et des métas-analyses de haute qualité qui concernent les professionnels de la santé et les patients. Ainsi, nous constituons un nouvel ensemble de connaissances éprouvées qui sont basées sur l'analyse et la revue critique de données historiques (publiées et non publiées).

Malgré que notre principal intérêt soit la médecine périopératoire, nous mettons à disposition notre savoir-faire pour des projets qui vont au-delà de notre spécialité clinique.

Nous menons également des études randomisées et contrôlées.

Nous disséminons des données: Nous publions nos travaux dans des revues médicales (imprimées ou électroniques) revues par des pairs.

Nous organisons des ateliers de médecine factuelle pour anesthésistes et chirurgiens. Nous organisons des congrès scientifiques.

Finalement, nous publions un livre traitant de médecine périopératoire factuelle.

Nous mettons en application les données: les procédures de prévention, traitement et diagnostique devraient être fondées sur les meilleures données prouvées de la littérature scientifique. Nous travaillons constamment à des procédures intéressant la pratique en médecine périopératoire.
